Back on Her Keel!
It was a cool morning and we were at the boatyard quite early. Luckily, there was a good breeze and everything was dry when we arrived. We got right to work lowering the boat.
Here she is, about 11:00 am, down onto the rollers.
That's me with the big smile, happy the boat is right side up and hoping it never turns over again.
We rolled it back to the midway point between the neighbouring boats and began removing the turning cradle.
Before removing the bulk of the cradle, we first set the boat up on blocks and positioned four jack stands around it. It was mid afternoon.
Just look at that hull. So beautiful! It's enough to make an old mariner's heart skip a beat.
We immediately set to work installing a frame for the tarp. The forecast calls for a few days of rain.
It was a long day. We arrived before 8:00 am and, as you can see, we finished in the dark.
What a Team!
