Applebee 27 - 'Helen Back'

'Applebee 27' seems like a good model name for the boat we created. It will be handy to have a model name when filling out forms for marinas or insurance or whatever. We ordered a couple of decals to put the model name on the boat.
Yesterday was sunny and warm. . . and windy. Before lunch, we went for a walk down to check on the boat and ran into Neil and Glenna on the walking trail. We continued together to the boat and found it okay. The wind, however, was knocking the stuffing out of the tarps.
After lunch we decided to go back to the boat and remove the tarps. Several days with high winds are forecast this week and I was concerned that the whipping tarps would damage the boat's paint.
We packed up some tools and bags and drove the car down. We easily removed the small aft tarp. We struggled a bit but we got the big tarp off without too much drama by untying progressively from the bow and moving aft. We pulled it off the stern (in the direction of the wind) so as not to give the tarp a chance to fill with air.
It sure is nice to see her again.
It was a busy day. . . .
Fish and chips for supper again.
