Outboard Trawler Build - June 20, 2022

Last Day of Spring. Tomorrow, the days start to get shorter again :(

We played a set at the open mic event Thursday and Neil joined us on bass guitar. It went well.

We played:

Boat Work:

We finished up dry-fitting the shelves on Thursday and applied a third coat of varnish Friday (at the boat).

Yesterday (Father's Day) Donna and I installed the two shelves and brought the seat cushions down 'to see how they looked' together.

Nice!

Mike and Noreen arrived in the afternoon and we showed them the progress we had made on the 'Helen Back'.

It was a nice day but a bit windy so we didn't take the boat out.

This glorious morning was cool but crystal clear and flat calm. We took an early morning run upriver through the narrows and turned around at Lily Bay.

It was nice to give the boat a good run. . . . . . burn some gas. . . clear the cobwebs.
