Outboard Trawler Project
April 28, 2023
We've been away for a few days but we're back at it now.
The day before we left, while I was working at the boat, a freak windstorm came ripping through the harbour. I had removed a temporary motorwell cover and tied it to the cabin roof. The wind picked it up like a kite and swung it about, hammering about six dents into the cabintop and breaking a corner of the cover.

I sanded the dents yesterday and mixed a batch of epoxy to fill them.

This morning, I sanded the epoxy putty and painted over the area with a bit of the original 2-part polyurethane. Problem solved!

Donna continues to paint Kiwigrip on the interior walls.

The little boat just keeps getting nicer and nicer.

Today, the new docks arrived.

We had front-row seats from Helen Back's cockpit.

The company brought along an excavator on a barge, along with all the cement 'dock anchors'. I imagine it will be another day or two before the docks are all secured in place.
